We open again on 25th May 2024

We now take donations instead of charging entry fees and invite vistors to pay what they feel is appropriate for their visit.

The Smiddy is run entirely by volunteers and receives no regular support from government. It costs about £2,000 a year to run, with insurance the biggest cost, followed by electricity and water charges.
